Mothers Day

A few days ago my thoughts turned to Mothers day (A little way off yet but will soon be with us here in the UK - 22nd March)
Some new papers have been added on Free Craft Downloads for Mothers day so I thought I would make some cards using them

I have only made one so far & thought I would share with you how I made it

I used the Glitter Girls "Elegance and Fantasy" board
1 A4 sheet of mothersday_rose40_ls
1 A5 sheet of mothersday_rose38_ls
1 A5 sheet of silver mirror card (from my own card stock)
Double sided foam pads
Border, Mum & Happy mothers day silver peel offs which I coloured pink with "peel-off pens"
12 small flowers (6 lilac, 4 pink and 2 cream)
2 small silver bows
1 oval pink gem

I used the sheet of "mothersday_rose40_ls" card for the bottom layer
I used a silver mirror card for the next layer
For the final layer I used the sheet of "mothersday_rose38_ls" card
I cut out 3 sections of the "Fan" and used one on each end and one in the middle,
these were stuck down using double sided foam pads

I made 2 small bunches of flowers (3 lilac 2 pink and 1 cream in each bunch) and stuck them on to the silver part of the card & finished off with a silver bow
I stuck the oval gem on the bottom of the fan
I put the Happy Mothers day peel off across the top of the fan and the Mum peel off along the bottom I used the border peel off to edge the 3 small top layers of the fan

This card will be displayed on a stand (or you can make it as a tent fold A5 card)

Off to Oz

No not me

At Sunday School last week, I was asked to make a card for 2 boys who are emigrating with their family to Australia in a couple of weeks time.
We had a party for them at Sunday School which was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
I made a gate fold - A4 size card (so there was plenty of room for good luck messages inside) & use a map of GB and a map of Australia on the front with an aeroplane in the middle I added a couple of suitcases on the front and put the boys names on them and included a couple of pictures of Australian animals and the national flag.
Inside I put a Kangaroo on a paper spring in the middle of a lovely verse so when the card was opened it jumped out this went down well with the children they loved it.

I wish them well in their new life and hope it brings all what they are hoping for and more - They will be missed
